Gasoline prices also decreased, RON95-III products fell below 20,000 VND per liter

From 3:00 p.m. on August 14, the price of E5 RON92 gasoline decreased by VND254/liter; RON95-III gasoline decreased by VND190/liter. In addition, diesel oil decreased by VND723/liter; kerosene decreased by VND640/liter and fuel oil decreased by VND379/kg.

Gasoline products have all decreased since this afternoon (August 14), while the price stabilization fund remains unchanged, with no deductions.

According to the document of the Ministry of Industry and Trade sent to key traders and distributors of gasoline and oil on the management of domestic gasoline and oil retail prices, from 3:00 p.m., the ceiling price of E5RON92 gasoline is 19,354 VND/liter, down 254 VND/liter compared to the current price; RON95-III gasoline has a new price of 19,884 VND/liter, down 190 VND/liter compared to the current price.

In addition, diesel oil decreased by 723 VND, down to 18,077 VND/liter; kerosene decreased by 640 VND, down to 18,020 VND/liter and mazut oil decreased by 379 VND, down to 15,268 VND/kg.

Regarding the price stabilization fund, since the beginning of the year, the fund has remained unchanged with no deductions and no spending for petroleum products. A representative of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) said that as of the time before the price adjustment, the balance of the price stabilization fund (BOG) at the enterprise was 3,084 billion VND, unchanged from the most recent announcement.

Previously (August 7), diesel oil decreased by VND268/liter and kerosene decreased by VND54/liter, while E5RON92 gasoline price increased by VND207/liter; RON95-III gasoline increased by VND234/liter and mazut oil increased by VND114/kg.

According to Decree No. 80/2023/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 95/2021/ND-CP dated November 1, 2021 and Decree No. 83/2014/ND-CP dated September 3, 2014 of the Government on petroleum trading, the time for managing petroleum prices is implemented every Thursday.

In case the price management period coincides with a holiday according to regulations, it is implemented as follows: If Thursday coincides with the first day of the holiday, the time for managing the petrol price will be implemented on the previous Wednesday. If Thursday coincides with the remaining holidays, the time for managing the petrol price will be implemented on the first working day after the holiday.
