Fuel prices have increased across the board, with RON95-III reaching 20,488 VND per liter.

In the price adjustment on October 30th, domestic fuel prices increased across the board. RON95-III gasoline is now priced at 20,488 VND/liter; diesel fuel increased sharply by 1,318 VND/liter, reaching 19,203 VND/liter.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just issued a document to petroleum wholesalers and distributors regarding the management of domestic retail gasoline and diesel prices. Accordingly, gasoline and diesel prices will increase simultaneously from 3 PM today (October 30).

Specifically, E5RON92 gasoline has a ceiling price of 19,760 VND/liter, an increase of 710 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline has a new price of 20,488 VND/liter, an increase of 762 VND/liter compared to the previous adjustment on October 23rd. Following the same trend as gasoline prices, diesel increased by 1,318 VND/liter, reaching 19,203 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 1,156 VND/liter, with a new price of 19,271 VND/liter; and mazut increased by 541 VND, reaching 14,639 VND/kg.

Since the beginning of the year, the price stabilization fund has remained unchanged, with no contributions or expenditures made for petroleum products. A representative from the Vietnam National Petroleum Group ( Petrolimex ) stated that, prior to the price adjustment, the balance of the price stabilization fund (BOG) at the company was 3,085 billion VND.

According to a representative from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in this price adjustment period, the plan aims to ensure that domestic fuel price fluctuations are consistent with world fuel price fluctuations; to continue maintaining a reasonable price difference between E5RON92 bio-gasoline and RON95 mineral gasoline to encourage the use of biofuels in accordance with the Government's policy; and to ensure a balance of interests among market participants.

In the most recent price adjustment on October 23rd, gasoline and diesel prices decreased simultaneously. Specifically, E5RON92 gasoline decreased by 176 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline decreased by 177 VND/liter; diesel decreased by 538 VND/liter; kerosene decreased by 291 VND/liter; and mazut decreased by 273 VND/kg.

According to Decree No. 80/2023/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 95/2021/ND-CP dated November 1, 2021 and Decree No. 83/2014/ND-CP dated September 3, 2014 of the Government on petroleum business, the time for adjusting petroleum prices is carried out every Thursday.
