Officially commenced commercial operation.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Nhon Trach 3 and Nhon Trach 4 power plants (Ong Keo Industrial Park, Dai Phuoc commune, Dong Nai province), Mr. Le Nhu Linh - General Director of Vietnam Petroleum Power Corporation (PV Power - the investor), emphasized: " The efforts and aspirations of PV Power and the expectations of the leadership at all levels have become a reality. The Nhon Trach 3 and 4 LNG power plants are ready for commercial operation from today ."

The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien, and leaders from relevant ministries, departments, localities, and units.
Despite facing numerous challenges, PV Power expresses its gratitude for the guidance and support from the Government; the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Construction , and other relevant ministries and agencies; the attention and assistance in resolving obstacles from the leaders of Dong Nai province; the trust and responsible partnership from the leaders of the Vietnam National Energy and Industry Corporation; and the professionalism and dedication of the EPC general contractor Samsung C&T - Lilama, the project management consultant, the main equipment supplier GE, and the 138 contractors directly involved in the construction.
The General Director of PV Power emotionally shared the journey of implementing the project, with more than 3 years of effort and the dedication of 3,257 engineers and workers from many units, industries, and areas of responsibility, but all sharing the common goal of building a modern plant that fully complies with regulations.

The General Director of PV Power expressed: "We have gone through many sleepless nights, many heated debates, many all-night meetings connecting Europe and America, moments of overwhelming emotion, and tears of joy when we completed each milestone and connected to the national power grid on time. This success is our shared success."
Furthermore, PV Power affirms that the completion and commercial operation of Nhon Trach 3 & 4 will increase PV Power's total capacity to 5.8 GW, thus becoming one of the country's largest power producers. The project also helps PV Power's team mature in mastering modern technology, accumulating experience, confidence, and competence to continue implementing new power generation projects in the future.

Mr. Le Nhu Linh, General Director of Vietnam Petroleum Power Corporation (PV Power), reported at the ceremony.
"Major training course" for Lilama
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, General Director of Vietnam Machinery Installation Corporation (Lilama) and a member of the Samsung C&T - Lilama EPC General Contractor Consortium, stated that this is a particularly significant event for Lilama.
He expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister, central ministries and agencies, Dong Nai province, Petrovietnam, PV Power, and the PV Power Project Management Board for their support and facilitation in the project's effective implementation. He also thanked Samsung C&T (the leading consortium) for their "professional, disciplined, and effective" cooperation throughout the years, and acknowledged the crucial support of GE – the main equipment supplier – and the efforts of the subcontractors.
According to Lilama, the Nhon Trach 3 & 4 LNG power plant is not just a project, but also "a major training course" for Lilama's workers in high-tech gas-fired power plant construction capabilities. From the initial stages heavily impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, to the period of global fluctuations in the materials and equipment market, and especially the Red Sea crisis disrupting the supply chain, the project continuously faced challenges that seemed insurmountable.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, General Director of Vietnam Machinery Installation Corporation (Lilama), delivered a speech at the ceremony.
However, Lilama stated that the unit quickly mobilized skilled engineers and workers, continuously deployed construction on multiple fronts; mastered complex techniques; flexibly applied technical solutions to promptly handle obstacles, ensuring accuracy, safety and progress, while maintaining its commitment to quality so that the completed project "bears the mark of Lilama".
Lilama's representative also reiterated the shared experience in the region, noting that right next to the current project cluster are the Nhon Trach 1 and Nhon Trach 2 power plants – projects in which Lilama previously participated as the EPC general contractor and completed many years ago.
Mr. Hung emphasized that the success of Nhon Trach 3 & 4 is the result of the sweat, intellect, and perseverance of thousands of engineers and workers over many years, affirming that this is proof of Vietnam's construction capacity in large-scale energy projects, especially with new generation gas power technology. He also committed to continuing to improve construction capacity, human resource quality, and international cooperation, accompanying key energy projects and contributing to Vietnam's sustainable development strategy.
The commissioning of the Nhon Trach 3 and 4 power plants not only adds a new, high-efficiency power source but also strengthens Petrovietnam/PV Power's role in ensuring energy security and meeting the electricity needs for socio-economic development and people's lives.
