Regarding rice, the market was quiet this week, with domestic rice prices remaining relatively stable and export rice prices unchanged compared to the previous week. Specifically, domestic rice prices stayed flat, while some types of raw rice for export saw a slight increase at the beginning of the week, then remained stable towards the middle and end of the week.
According to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province and Vietnam Rice, the current price of raw export rice is as follows: OM 5451 rice ranges from 8,150 to 8,300 VND/kg; Soc Thom rice ranges from 7,500 to 7,600 VND/kg; IR 504 rice ranges from 7,550 to 7,650 VND/kg; CL 555 rice ranges from 7,340 to 7,450 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice ranges from 8,700 to 8,900 VND/kg; OM 380 rice ranges from 7,200 to 7,300 VND/kg; and OM 18 rice ranges from 8,500 to 8,600 VND/kg. Finished IR 504 rice prices fluctuated between 9,500 and 9,700 VND/kg compared to the end of last week.
Regarding by-products, prices fluctuate between 7,400 and 10,000 VND/kg. Currently, OM 5451 broken rice is priced at 7,400 - 7,500 VND/kg; bran prices are fluctuating between 9,000 - 10,000 VND/kg compared to the end of last week.
According to reports from various localities today, the prices of all types of rice remained unchanged.
At retail markets, the highest listed price for Nang Nhen rice is currently 28,000 VND/kg; regular rice ranges from 11,000 - 12,000 VND/kg; Huong Lai rice is 22,000 VND/kg; long-grain Thai fragrant rice ranges from 20,000 - 22,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice is 21,000 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice is 20,000 VND/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice ranges from 16,000 - 18,000 VND/kg; common white rice is 16,000 VND/kg; regular Soc rice ranges from 16,000 - 17,000 VND/kg; Thai Soc rice is 20,000 VND/kg; and Japanese rice is 22,000 VND/kg.
Similarly, with rice, trading was more active this week compared to the previous week, with prices of fresh rice of all types remaining relatively stable.
According to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the current price of IR 50404 rice (fresh) fluctuates between 5,200 - 5,400 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice (fresh) fluctuates between 5,500 - 5,600 VND/kg; OM 34 rice (fresh) fluctuates between 5,200 - 5,400 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) fluctuates between 6,400 - 6,600 VND/kg; and OM 18 rice (fresh) fluctuates between 6,400 - 6,600 VND/kg, compared to the end of last week.
Observations in many localities today show that buying and selling transactions are sparse, and prices remain stable.
On the export market, Vietnamese rice export prices remained stable compared to the end of the week. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), the current price of fragrant rice with 5% broken grains ranges from 420 - 440 USD/ton; 100% broken grains ranges from 314 - 318 USD/ton; and Jasmine rice ranges from 447 - 451 USD/ton.
According to information from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in November 2025, Vietnam exported approximately 320,000 tons of rice, earning 169.8 million USD. For the first 11 months of 2025, rice exports reached 7.5 million tons, bringing in 3.83 billion USD, a decrease of 11.5% in volume and 27.7% in value compared to the same period last year.
The average export price of rice for the first 11 months was $512.1 per ton, 18.3% lower than the same period last year. Among the markets, the Philippines remains the largest consumer with a 39.8% market share. However, the value of exports to this market decreased by 34.9%. Conversely, Ghana and Ivory Coast showed positive growth, increasing by 29.8% and 79.8% respectively. Among the top 15 markets, Bangladesh saw the strongest growth, increasing 155.1 times, while Malaysia decreased by 51.3%.
