Domestic gasoline prices increased slightly today, with E5RON92 gasoline reaching 19,401 VND/liter, RON95-III up to 19,840 VND/liter, while world oil prices fell sharply.
World oil prices fell sharply
On the morning of August 4, 2025, according to Oilprice at 4:30 a.m. (Vietnam time), Brent oil price stood at 69.52 USD/barrel, down 2.83% (equivalent to 2.03 USD). WTI oil also decreased by 2.79%, to 67.26 USD/barrel.
The main reason comes from concerns that OPEC+ will increase production by 547,000 barrels/day in September. In addition, a series of political and economic factors such as the US's threat to impose a 100% tax on Russian oil buyers, or the possibility of sanctions against China and India - the world's second and third largest oil consumers - are also putting pressure on the market.
Experts say oil prices will fluctuate strongly next week, depending on global political developments, especially from the US.
