RON95-III gasoline price increased by more than 20,000 VND/liter

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just announced an adjustment in gasoline prices, with an increase for gasoline and a decrease for oil, effective from 3:00 p.m. on August 21.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade , based on the developments in world oil prices, fluctuations in the VND/USD exchange rate and current regulations, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance decided to adjust retail prices of oil products to ensure domestic prices are consistent with world trends, encourage the use of biofuels and harmonize interests among market participants.

Maximum retail price for E5-RON 92 gasoline: not higher than VND 19,464/liter (an increase of VND 110/liter compared to the current base price), VND 628/liter lower than RON95-III gasoline.

RON95-III gasoline: no higher than VND 20,092/liter (an increase of VND 208/liter compared to the current base price);

Diesel 0.05S: not higher than VND 17,905/liter (down VND 172/liter compared to current base price);

Kerosene: not higher than VND 17,814/liter (down VND 206/liter compared to current base price).

Mazut oil 180CST 3.5S: not higher than 15,116 VND/kg (152 VND/kg lower than current base price).

In this adjustment period, the joint ministries decided to continue not to set aside and not to use the gasoline price stabilization fund for E5-RON 92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene and fuel oil.

According to the joint agency of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance, the world petroleum market during the period from August 14 to 21 is affected by many factors, with alternating increases and decreases for all commodities.

That is, US crude oil inventories decreased more sharply than forecast information; US President and Ukrainian President discussed the roadmap to end the conflict in Ukraine between Russia and Ukraine; the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues...

The average price of finished petroleum products in the world between the price adjustment period of August 14, 2025 and the adjustment period of August 21, 2025 is: 77.482 USD/barrel of RON92 gasoline used to blend E5RON92 gasoline (an increase of 0.452 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.59%); 80.056 USD/barrel of RON95 gasoline (an increase of 0.914 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.15%);

82,592 USD/barrel of kerosene (down 1,332 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 1.59%); 83,576 USD/barrel of 0.05S diesel (down 1,140 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 1.35%); 401,068 USD/ton of 180CST 3.5S fuel oil (down 6,126 USD/ton, equivalent to a decrease of 1.50%).
