Gasoline prices continue to decrease, RON95 is nearly 19,000 VND/liter

E5 RON 92 gasoline has a new price of 18,498 VND/liter, a decrease of 384 VND/liter compared to the current price. After adjustment, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline is 358 VND/liter lower than that of RON 95-III gasoline.

Similarly, RON 95-III gasoline has a new price of VND18,856/liter, down VND351/liter.

Diesel 0.05S has a new price of 17,037 VND/liter, down 206 VND/liter. Kerosene has a new price of 17,184 VND/liter, down 229 VND/liter compared to the current price; fuel oil 180CST 3.5S is adjusted to 15,960 VND/kg, up 58 VND/kg.

In this adjustment period, the joint ministries decided to continue not to set aside and not to use the gasoline price stabilization fund for E5 RON 92 gasoline, RON 95 gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene and fuel oil.

According to the joint agency of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance, the world oil market during the period from April 10 to 17 is affected by many factors with a main downward trend.

Fluctuations in US tariffs on goods from trading partners, increased OPEC+ oil production, the International Energy Agency (IEA) forecasting slow growth in oil demand in 2025, and the ongoing military conflict between Russia and Ukraine...

The above factors have caused the world oil price to have a general downward trend in recent days. Of which, gasoline has a tendency to decrease by 2%, kerosene by 1.38%, diesel by 1.21%, and fuel oil also decreased by 0.72%.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade said that the time for petrol traders to adjust is at 3:00 p.m. today, April 17.

Thus, after increasing continuously in the last three sessions, gasoline prices have reversed and decreased sharply due to the reciprocal tax imposed by US President Donald Trump. Gasoline prices continue to return to their lowest level in more than 3 years. Since the beginning of the year, RON 95 gasoline has increased 8 times and decreased 8 times.

The Ministry said that in order to adjust gasoline prices, the Ministry will coordinate with relevant agencies to inspect and supervise the implementation of the responsibility of ensuring gasoline supply for the market by gasoline traders, and will strictly handle violations.
