In the period of 2021 - 2025, more than 83,800 young people in Lao Cai will have jobs.

Implementing the Youth Development Program for the period 2021 - 2025, Lao Cai province currently has 319,172 young people, including 169,488 men and 149,684 women. Every year, the Department of Home Affairs advises the Provincial People's Committee to issue plans and action programs to concretize the National Strategy on Youth Development, focusing on start-ups, career establishment, digital transformation and innovation.

Lao Cai youth participated in recruitment interviews at the Job Fair organized by Go; many businesses directly consulted and received recruitment applications right at the event.

During the period, the province supported 1,250 activities for youth; introduced more than 7,200 youths to participate in programs; organized 65 science and technology transfer sessions for 2,570 youths.

Along with that, many specific policies have been issued to encourage young people to learn a trade, promote indigenous cultural values ​​and build typical economic models.

Career counseling, orientation, and employment solutions are regularly implemented, bringing about outstanding results: the whole province has provided counseling, job introduction, and vocational training support to 83,877 young people; of which 17,698 young people were provided with labor outside the province.

Regarding vocational training, Lao Cai has enrolled 113,358 young people. There are 43,133 people in the college and intermediate level; 58,115 people in the elementary level and training under 3 months, accounting for 50% of the total, of which 12,110 young people are rural workers receiving vocational training support.

Labor structure shift continues to be a bright spot as the province has converted 31,884/35,790 young people (reaching 89%) from agriculture to non-agricultural sectors such as industry, construction, tourism, trade, services... contributing to increasing income and expanding development opportunities for young people.
