The conference was organized by Viet Nhat Nutrition Technology Joint Stock Company (Viet Nhat Group) in collaboration with BaiYang Vietnam Food Company Limited (BaiYang Group), with the participation of experts and pioneers in the field of aquaculture, bringing new perspectives and practical initiatives, contributing to improving the quality and value of Vietnamese tilapia in the international market.
In the context of the seafood industry moving towards sustainable development, increasing added value and expanding international markets, tilapia has become one of the key products with great export potential.
In Vietnam, tilapia is a popular aquaculture species in the North and Central regions. In recent years, it has become a rapidly growing export commodity, holding a strategic position in the aquaculture industry. However, to improve competitiveness, meet international standards and expand global market share, the Vietnamese tilapia industry needs to build a synchronous chain - from breeding, farming, processing to consumption.

Growth opportunities for tilapia export industry
In 2025, Viet Nhat Group and BaiYang Group will carry out strategic cooperation, bringing Baiyang's completed "food and feed" industrial chain model to Vietnam, aiming to develop the tilapia processing industry and the animal feed production industry. Currently, there are two tilapia processing factories: Hung Bang Co., Ltd. and Baiyang Vietnam Food Co., Ltd. (under construction), expected to be put into operation by 2026, with a daily tilapia raw material processing capacity of 200 tons.
Mr. Ngo Minh Ket, Director of Tilapia Project (Viet Nhat Group) said that for the aquaculture industry in Vietnam, exported tilapia is still not commensurate with its potential, BaiYang Group has combined with Viet Nhat Group to use the strengths of both parties, to develop the aquaculture industry together. This is a coincidence and also the desire of both parties.
In the near future, with ongoing projects such as BaiYang Vietnam, we are confident in exporting tilapia steadily, creating a sustainable industry for our people. At the same time, we aim to strongly export tilapia to demanding markets in the world such as the US, Europe and many other markets.
