Dinh Hoa is a mountainous district with a population of nearly 104,000 people, of which more than 60,000 are of working age. To solve employment for workers, the district has strengthened the connection between employers and workers by organizing job fairs in communes and towns in the area.

Ms. Hoang Thi Ngát, in Goc Hong hamlet, Quy Ky commune, said: Because my child is still young, I cannot go to work far away. Recently, Thagaco Job Fair was held in the district. I know that Thagaco Garment Company in Tan Duong Industrial Park is recruiting garment workers, so I am applying. If I am accepted, it will be much more convenient, because I can both earn an income and take care of my child.

Phung Nam Than, in Village 7, Tan Duong Commune, was happy to find a new job in Hai Duong Province. This was the first time he had to leave his family to work to earn money to raise his children.

Mr. Than shared: In early 2025, through the job fair organized by the district, I learned that a company needed to recruit a job position that matched my experience. After that, I applied for a job and went to the company to work. With this new job, I earn nearly 10 million VND per month, and after deducting living expenses, I can send about 7 million VND back to my family.

According to statistics from Dinh Hoa district, thanks to strengthening connections with employers inside and outside the province, each year more than 2,000 workers in the area have new jobs in industrial parks and clusters, with a stable income of 6-10 million VND/month.

In 2024, the district organized 5 job fairs in communes and towns, helping nearly 2,300 workers find new jobs. Since the beginning of the year, the district has coordinated with Thagaco International Investment Joint Stock Company to organize the Thagaco Job Fair, recruiting 1,500 workers to prepare for the Thagaco Garment Factory Phase 1 in Tan Duong Industrial Park to come into operation.

It is expected that by mid-2026, Thagaco Garment Factory Phase 2 in Tan Duong Industrial Park will be completed, and there will be a need to recruit 2,000 more workers.

In addition, as a locality with a large proportion of agricultural workers, Dinh Hoa has strengthened vocational training for rural workers, with suitable occupations. Each year, the district opens 6-10 vocational training classes, such as: Cultivation techniques, animal husbandry and veterinary medicine.

In 2024 alone, Dinh Hoa district will open 6 classes, with more than 600 people receiving vocational training, reaching 100% of the plan. At the same time, businesses and cooperatives are encouraged to invest in building agricultural and forestry processing facilities to exploit the advantages of local planted forests. Currently, there are hundreds of wood processing and cinnamon oil extraction facilities in the area, creating stable or seasonal jobs for thousands of local workers.

According to the leader of the People's Committee of Dinh Hoa district, the current multidimensional poverty rate of the district is 7.46%. Of which, the rate of poor households is 3.88%; near-poor households is 3.58%. To achieve that, creating jobs for workers is an important task.

Every year, in addition to strengthening connections with businesses, the district focuses on improving the quality of labor resources through vocational training, consulting support, and loans for labor export.
