Can Tho City: Landslide swept a house into O Mon River

The landslide caused the house to collapse completely into the O Mon River.

Accordingly, the landslide occurred at 4:00 a.m. on the O Mon River in Tan Thanh Commune, Thoi Lai District, causing Mr. Nguyen Hoang Dung's house to collapse completely into the river, causing damage of about 150 million VND.

The 2m rural traffic route along the O Mon River also collapsed from the riverbank to the mainland 2.5m, 35m long.

Local authorities posted warning signs in landslide areas.

Immediately afterwards, the local government mobilized military and militia forces to urgently temporarily repair the landslide-affected traffic section to ensure people's safety.

In the immediate future, the local government will support 5 million VND for households whose houses have been damaged by landslides.

The landslide also affected traffic routes.

At the same time, the locality proposed and recommended to fix the above landslide to ensure safety for people and vehicles.

Thoi Lai district also requested Can Tho city to consider providing financial support for Mr. Nguyen Hoang Dung's household; organize surveys and provide financial support for investment in solid embankments to ensure safe traffic for vehicles and people.
