Verify and test weight loss pills of Ngan 98

On May 21, Ms. Pham Khanh Phong Lan, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety, said that she had received feedback about the quality of weight loss products distributed by VTNN (known as Ngan 98).

Information has appeared on social networks that the weight loss pills sold by Ngan 98 contain sibutramine. This substance is banned from use in food because it has the potential to cause serious effects on the heart and nervous system.

The Department of Food Safety confirmed that it is urgently reviewing, checking and promptly informing consumers about the above product.

In recent days, the fight between two accounts VTNN (Ngan 98) and TTBN (Ngan Collagen, owner of a cosmetics brand in Can Tho ) has attracted the attention of many people, because both sides are trading in products directly related to health such as: weight loss pills, skin creams, collagen supplements... Each side has provided evidence that the other side's products are of poor quality, even containing banned substances.
