On the morning of May 21, due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain, many roads in Ha Giang province experienced serious landslides, causing traffic congestion and posing a potential safety risk to people and vehicles participating in traffic.
Specifically, at Km 31 of Provincial Road 177, through Tan Minh village, Nam Ty commune (Hoang Su Phi district), heavy rain caused the positive slope to slide down onto the road surface, blocking the entire route. Meanwhile, on National Highway 279, the route to Kim Ngoc commune (Bac Quang district), many serious landslides were also recorded.
Notably, the section from Km17 to Km18 on National Highway 279 (Pac Ha - Lien Hiep area in Mang village, Kim Ngoc commune, Bac Quang district) is currently experiencing landslides across the entire hill, causing the road to be completely cut off.
Faced with complicated weather developments, Ha Giang Provincial Police have issued a warning notice to people, especially vehicles traveling on the above routes, to proactively monitor information, adjust routes, and ensure safety for people and vehicles.
According to forecasts, in the coming days, heavy to very heavy rains are likely to continue in Ha Giang province. Therefore, there is a high risk of landslides in mountainous areas, flooding in low-lying areas and impacts on traffic infrastructure.
The Ha Giang construction industry and functional forces are urgently inspecting the scene, implementing remedial measures, ensuring smooth traffic and safety for people./.
