- In order to contribute to solving employment for workers, and at the same time strengthen coordination activities between labor management agencies , recently, the provincial Department of Home Affairs has implemented coordination activities, promoting the attraction of workers to work at enterprises outside the province. Thereby promptly supporting workers to have stable jobs and meet the labor needs of enterprises outside the province.
Lang Son currently has about 330,000 people of working age, with a trained rate of 65%. Every year, about 18,000 people are given new jobs. Although the number of people of working age is large, the province does not currently have many industrial clusters to meet the employment needs of workers.
In response to the need for employment of workers, recently, relevant agencies of the province have implemented coordinated activities, enhanced labor attraction promotion such as: communication about the labor market, job positions, recruitment needs, labor attraction policies of enterprises in the province and neighboring provinces; support and connect Lang Son workers to work at enterprises in the provinces through job promotion conferences.
Ms. Hoang Thi Bich Loan, Director of Lang Son Provincial Employment Service Center, said: In the past time, in order to provide information on the labor market and connect workers to find jobs that suit their abilities and strengths, the Provincial Employment Service Center has regularly organized direct and online job fairs, on that basis we coordinate with reputable and quality recruitment businesses to find jobs for workers. In the past year, every week at the headquarters of the Employment Service Center, we organized online job fairs connecting with provinces in the Northern region. Thereby, it has contributed to connecting workers to other provinces in the region.
Specifically, from the beginning of 2025 to present, the Provincial Employment Service Center has organized 37 direct job transaction sessions and 5 online sessions, thereby connecting and consulting over 6,500 workers; consulting on labor and employment laws and policies for nearly 16,400 people; nearly 260 workers were introduced to jobs and found jobs.
Among more than 90,000 workers from Lang Son province working outside the province, about 40,000 are workers in industrial parks in Bac Giang province (accounting for 44.4%) with main fields such as: fields such as production, assembly of electronic components, garment and processing and manufacturing industries - industries that are playing a key role in the economic growth of Bac Giang province.
Mr. Le Huynh Diep, recruitment officer of Luxshare ICT Co., Ltd., Bac Giang province, informed: The company currently has about 40,000 employees, of which about 7,000 are from Lang Son province, working in the field of electronic component assembly. Currently, the company has policies to attract employees such as: supporting dormitories with full air conditioning, hot and cold water, washing machines provided free of charge to employees; new employees working at the company will be rewarded 5 million VND/person in the first month of work... The income of employees at the company ranges from 9 to 13 million VND.
With the increasing number of Lang Son workers working in enterprises in Bac Giang province, coordinating the organization of labor attraction promotion activities is one of the solutions that has been effectively implemented in recent times. For example, at the labor attraction promotion conference between Lang Son and Bac Giang provinces held on May 12, 12 enterprises and 120 enterprises, production and business establishments, and vocational training establishments in participating provinces and cities were directly connected. Through the conference and job transaction session, 188 workers participated in direct and online interviews, of which 38 passed the preliminary selection.
Ms. Hoang Thi Hai, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Lang Son province, said: In recent times, Lang Son province has done a good job of coordinating with Bac Giang province in disseminating and raising awareness of workers in job creation. The number of Lang Son workers going to work outside the province in recent years has fluctuated between 65,000 - 75,000 people. In 2024, after the job promotion conference was held, the number of workers in the province going to work outside the province increased to over 90,000 people. We hope that in the coming time, with policies on wages, bonuses and other benefits that businesses in Bac Giang have proposed to attract workers, especially skilled workers, more workers will go to work in Bac Giang province. Thereby contributing to the implementation of social security in the province.
Strengthening coordination between provinces and creating a direct bridge between businesses and workers is a timely solution, helping businesses ensure adequate human resources, reduce time and costs for recruiting workers, improve production and business efficiency, while workers find stable, long-term jobs and find businesses with suitable benefits.
Mr. Tran Van Ha, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Bac Giang province, said: To retain workers, the Department directs businesses to regularly coordinate with the Provincial Employment Service Center to provide specific information on positions and transparent recruitment needs, develop policies on employee benefits regarding accommodation, transportation, and arranging nurseries for workers with young children, and regularly organize periodic dialogues to resolve difficulties and problems; link training human resources according to needs, find stable jobs for workers; synthesize recruitment needs of Bac Giang province to provide to Lang Son province. Thereby contributing to stabilizing the labor market in the region.
To continue attracting workers in the province to work at enterprises outside the province, and at the same time help connect labor supply and demand, in the coming time, relevant units of the province will continue to strengthen cooperation, connect employment services between enterprises and workers; increase propaganda about career opportunities, income levels and working conditions in industrial parks so that workers can feel secure and make choices; guide workers to access information from official channels...
