Gold Price Forecast

World gold prices lost momentum in the context of a stronger-than-expected US inflation report, reducing the prospect that the US Federal Reserve (FED) will soon cut interest rates.

However, gold prices rose again in the trading session on February 15, after weak economic data pushed the USD and US government bond yields down.

Adrian Day, chairman of Adrian Day Asset Management, said gold prices will continue to move sideways next week: “Gold prices will react up and down to various economic reports until there is clear information that the FED will cut interest rates.”
