In particular, pork imports from Brazil and the US increased sharply, while imports from Russia, Germany and the Netherlands decreased.
Faced with the pressure of cheap imported pork flooding into Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Kim Doan, Vice President of Dong Nai Livestock Association, said that this has a huge impact on the pig farming industry.
According to Mr. Doan, at a time when Vietnam is deeply integrating with the world, we still have to accept the import of products from other countries. However, the authorities must build technical barriers to protect domestic products.
"In fact, most countries in the world, when importing any agricultural products, agricultural products, meat, eggs, milk... they have very strict standards.
