According to Ambassador Tran Thi Thu Thin, June 25, 1975 was the day Mozambique declared independence, which was also the day Vietnam and Mozambique officially established diplomatic relations, but the relationship between the two peoples began before that and was built on the basis of shared ideals and determination in the struggle for national independence and the right to freedom and self-determination.
The Ambassador affirmed: “The exhibition not only displays images of visits by generations of leaders of the two countries, but also many photos of generations of medical experts, educators, agricultural engineers and students of the two countries, vivid symbols of solidarity, friendship and practical and effective cooperation between Vietnam and Mozambique over the past half century.”
The photo exhibition, held at an important time in bilateral relations, is a profound gratitude to previous generations who have persistently fostered the friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Mozambique, and a message to today's young generation to continue promoting the precious heritage of the past half century to enhance understanding, respect and the spirit of cooperation for the common interests of the people of the two countries and for peace and common development of the two regions and the world.
The Ambassador believes that after graduation, students of Joaquim Chissano University, one of Mozambique's prestigious training institutions in international relations and public administration, will spread their good feelings and impressions about the country, people of Vietnam and the close ties between the two nations to Mozambican friends, becoming a bridge that actively contributes to the solidarity, friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Mozambique.

Dr. João Gabriel de Barros expressed his hope that in the coming time, education will continue to be one of the priority areas in bilateral cooperation, and hoped that students and young generations of the two countries will play a more active role in promoting solidarity, friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Mozambique.
