Patriotic education from school

In the jubilant atmosphere of the whole country towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), patriotic education activities at schools in the province took place enthusiastically and emotionally. Students from kindergarten to high school not only learned about history but also experienced practical activities, contributing to fostering love for their homeland and country right from their school days.

At Bac Cuong Primary School, Lao Cai City, 4th grade students just had a meaningful experience at the Lao Cai Province Mechanized Reconnaissance Company. Witnessing the rigorous training hours, participating in activities such as team review, martial arts and even cooking, growing vegetables, and folding blankets with the soldiers, the students not only learned more about the life of a soldier but also felt the patriotism and responsibility of the soldiers who are protecting the Fatherland day and night.

Vu Thao Nguyen, class 4A4, Bac Cuong Primary School shared: “When I had the chance to interact with the soldiers, I felt very proud. They sacrificed a lot so that we could have a peaceful life like today. I will study well to become a useful person for the country”. Nguyen's words made everyone present at the interaction very emotional, because it was a reminder of the love for the Fatherland, of the responsibility of the young generation towards the cause of protecting the independence and freedom of the nation.

Ms. Tran Minh Chung, Principal of Bac Cuong Primary School, could not hide her joy when seeing students fully participate in these activities: “We always want to have more activities, so that students not only understand history but also feel the sacrifices and efforts of previous generations, at the same time helping them to become more mature and proud of their country.

These days, Hoa Hong Kindergarten, Thai Nien Commune, Bao Thang District also organizes many special educational activities, helping children understand the Fatherland in a vivid and close way. Children are able to make the national flag, assemble a map of Vietnam and sing together songs praising their homeland and country. Although they are still young, through these activities, love for their homeland and country has been planted in their hearts.

Teacher Nguyen Thi Minh, Principal of Hoa Hong Kindergarten, confided: Teaching children about love for their homeland from an early age helps them develop their personality and pride in their country from a very young age. We hope that these activities will be a solid foundation for the children in the future.

The atmosphere of patriotism and national pride was also spread at the cultural exchange night organized by the Department of Education and Training of Bat Xat district in coordination with the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of Y Ty commune and Y Ty Border Guard Station recently. The cultural performances and songs praising the Fatherland were performed by students innocently but full of emotion, as a tribute to those who have devoted themselves to the independence of the Fatherland.

During the exchange night, the border guards also shared about their hard days at the border. The students and local people learned more about the lives of the soldiers who are guarding every inch of the sacred land of the Fatherland day and night, while strengthening the solidarity between the army and the people. Everyone was filled with emotions when vivid historical stories were told, helping them better understand the sacrifices of previous generations to protect the independence and freedom of the nation.

Ms. Bui Quynh Lien, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Bat Xat district affirmed: We always consider patriotism education an important task in teaching. These activities not only help students understand the history of the nation, but also foster love for their homeland and country. This is the foundation for them to grow up and contribute to building an increasingly prosperous country.

During the past few days, schools in the province have carried out many meaningful activities, not only educating students about patriotism but also helping them to become more mature and responsible for the Fatherland. Every small action, from making the national flag, assembling the map of Vietnam to singing and singing praises to the Fatherland, all contribute to nurturing the love of the homeland in students. These activities will be valuable provisions for students on their path of learning and growing up, contributing to building a young generation full of enthusiasm, patriotism and readiness to contribute to the cause of national development.
