The conference was held in a combination of live and online formats to 339 locations.
Attending and directing the Conference were Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training; Ms. Nguyen Thi Quoc Hoa - Head of the Department of Preschool Education and Primary Education, Department of Education and Training; Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Hong - Head of the Department of Quality Management, Department of Education and Training; and representatives of principals of primary and secondary schools in the area.
In the 2024-2025 school year, the network of primary schools in the province will continue to be consolidated and developed to meet the learning needs of students. The province currently has 339 primary education institutions, including 263 primary schools and 76 secondary schools. Of these, 335 are public schools and only 4 are non-public schools.
The number of schools in the 2024-2025 school year is 278, a decrease of 24 compared to the previous school year; the whole province has 5,264 classes, including 108 combined classes, with a total of 146,641 primary school students, a decrease of more than 3,600 students compared to the previous school year. Despite the decrease in student numbers, the province still maintains the maximum rate of student mobilization to attend classes, with no dropouts.

In the 2024-2025 school year, 100% of educational institutions have implemented teaching according to the 2018 program with many flexible methods and forms, focusing on developing students' qualities and abilities.
STEM education, digital citizenship, foreign languages, and information technology are enhanced, especially the rate of first and second graders studying elective English is over 86%.
Notably, Thai Nguyen has completed the compilation, appraisal and approval of local educational materials for all primary school grades by the Ministry of Education and Training . The materials have been taught in 100% of primary schools in the area.
Also in the past school year, the province implemented Resolution No. 02/2025/NQ-HDND dated April 23, 2025 stipulating funding to support the teaching and learning of Vietnamese for ethnic minority children before entering first grade in Thai Nguyen province, contributing to the effective implementation of universal primary education.
Digital transformation in education is being promoted, with the implementation of digital transcripts and the application of AI in teaching.

At the conference, delegates discussed and resolved difficulties in implementing tasks such as: Regarding the teaching staff; teaching English electively for grades 1 and 2; promoting digital transformation and innovating school management; content on teaching 2 sessions/day; universalizing primary education; building national standard schools.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training acknowledged the efforts of educational institutions, especially schools in disadvantaged areas, who have been proactive and determined to complete the school year's tasks.
The Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training requested that units continue to base on practical conditions to have specific solutions to overcome difficulties. At the same time, schools in favorable areas should help support disadvantaged schools in terms of teaching staff, English teaching, professional activities, library activities, digital transformation, STEM education, and policy implementation for teachers and students.
