In the document, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha stated that in recent days, millions of people have come to worship and pay homage to Buddha's relics at places of worship.
In response to the need to worship Buddha's relics of a large number of Buddhist followers and people nationwide, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha has requested the Prime Minister to consult with the Indian Government to allow an extension of the time to enshrine Buddha's relics in Vietnam.

The Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha has proposed adding a number of locations to enshrine Buddha relics until June 2.
Specifically, the Buddha's relics will be enshrined at Bai Dinh Pagoda in Gia Sinh Commune, Gia Vien District, Ninh Binh Province from May 21 to 22; Phuc Son Pagoda in Tan Yen District, Bac Giang Province from May 22 to 24; Truc Lam Yen Tu Palace in Uong Bi City, Quang Ninh Province from May 25 to 28; Chuong Pagoda in Hung Yen City, Hung Yen Province from May 28 to 29; Ngu Hanh Son Pagoda in Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang City from May 30 to June 2.

According to the official dispatch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, the above schedule was highly agreed upon by the Most Venerable Elder and the Permanent Vice President and the Standing Committee of the Executive Council.
The Board of Trustees also surveyed the location that meets the conditions for the ceremony and discussed with local authorities, the Board of Trustees of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Ninh Binh, Bac Giang, Quang Ninh, Hung Yen provinces, and Da Nang City about receiving assurances of security, order, health, fire prevention and fighting, environmental sanitation, etc. for the success of the event.
