
Can Yen commune is a highland border commune with a large area, 100% of the population is Tay, Nung, Dao... the people still have many difficulties, the rate of poor and near-poor households accounts for over 40%. Due to the impact of storms No. 10 and No. 11 causing flooding, flash floods and landslides, the whole commune has 87 houses damaged, swept away; 263 houses flooded; 8 schools, school sites flooded and damaged; 13 traffic routes eroded; 17 irrigation works, 3 water supply works affected; 219.19 hectares of rice and crops damaged, estimated total damage of tens of billions of VND.
The delegation presented 300 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, including: 1 set of pots, pans and cash to households affected by natural disasters. In addition, the delegation presented 75 scholarships in cash worth 1 million VND/each, along with notebooks, candy and candies to students affected by floods... Total value 400 million VND.
