Enhancing gender equality capacity and sustainable poverty reduction for commune-level civil servants - Cao Bang Electronic Newspaper

On the morning of October 31, the Department of Youth Affairs and Gender Equality - Ministry of Home Affairs coordinated with the Department of Home Affairs to organize a training course to raise awareness on gender equality and prevention and response to gender-based violence; mainstreaming gender in the implementation of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction, period 2021 - 2025 for

officials and civil servants in charge of 56 wards and communes in the province.

The Ministry of Home Affairs ' reporter conveyed the content at the training class.

During the program, delegates were informed about the system of policies and laws related to gender equality; updated knowledge and skills on preventing and responding to gender-based violence; and methods of gender mainstreaming in the implementation of poverty reduction programs at the local level. Along with that, the reporter also presented many real-life situations to analyze, clarify and guide appropriate handling. Trainees actively exchanged, discussed, shared experiences and proposed solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles in the implementation of gender equality work at the grassroots level.

The training course helps grassroots cadres raise awareness, capacity and responsibility in performing their tasks, contributing to promoting gender equality and achieving the goal of sustainable poverty reduction for the 2021-2025 period in the locality.
