Every morning, after cleaning the house, sweeping the small yard full of yellow leaves and dried flower petals that fell from yesterday, I always tear off the old calendar page. The new day starts like that. First, I look at the lines on the new calendar page to know the information of the day. What day is it, what day is it, is it hot or cold, what is the weather, rain or shine, it doesn't do anything, just reading for information is fun, as if just that much is enough to know everything on earth and I suddenly feel very at ease.

As this morning is the last day of the 3-day rain that the radio reported a few days ago, the clouds are gray and thick so the sun is not visible. The wind blows fiercely, making the coconut tree in the yard sway, the coconut leaves twist together and rustle, bustling the space. It is raining very lightly, the raindrops are smaller than dust particles falling on the hair, as light as nothing. Suddenly remembering the drizzle in Hanoi that I used to read in the stories of Nhat Linh and Thach Lam. My city does not have drizzle and cold wind like out there, but a little cold wind also makes the people of the coastal town feel excited. I wonder if the rain and wind in the Central region have calmed down yet, listening to the radio and newspapers, every day there is news of flooding here and there, I feel sorry for the narrowest land in our country.
And suddenly I feel so sorry for my small town when nature has favored me a little more. This season the sea is rough, the waves are more fierce, the dawn is less brilliant and the morning sky is full of gray clouds. The beach in the morning is therefore deserted, people who love the sea just stand on the shore and tread the waves. In the afternoon, those who like to walk on the beach also wear a jacket, wrap a scarf to keep their neck warm because the wind is quite strong this season. Now standing in front of the sea, the offshore islands are only vaguely visible. In the evening, the sea surface is a pure black color, offshore there are no rows of twinkling lights like stars from squid fishing boats or nets. The rough sea days are the days when boats are anchored at the docks, but the markets still have fresh fish thanks to the boats that go to sea in basket boats. Now, if you go to the market and buy a few fish at a fairly high price, you don't dare complain about the high price because if people go to sea for a living, hidden in their livelihood is still their love for the job, their love for the sea, which is why they go to sea on days of raging wind and rain.
This year the coastal city has less rain than previous years, but when the rain stops, the cold wind also returns. The cold in the coastal area seems to be a bit more pleasant, enough for the ladies of the family to rummage through their wardrobes for all kinds of sweaters that they haven't worn for a long time. The sweaters of the coastal city people are also thinner than those of other places. If Nha Trang people wear sweaters in Hanoi or Da Lat this season, they will see that their sweaters are fragile and the cold of their hometown is just for show. But every year, when the rainy season passes, when the city's sunlight becomes dry with a honey-yellow color, the blankets are also put out to dry in the sun before use. The sunlight is not too harsh but is enough to warm the blankets and make them smell of sunshine.
The cold wind also signals that we are in the last month of the year. Remind each other to wear a coat and a scarf when going out in the morning to keep warm. The cold wind also makes people's hearts flutter, sometimes happy, sometimes sad because another year is about to pass.
But if there is nothing exciting, the first thing to do in the day is still to tear off the old calendar page to start a new day full of energy, okay!
