'Vietnamese blood drops' fan the flames of enthusiasm, spreading the noble act of donating blood to save lives

A drop of blood is precious and needs to be respected.”

Therefore, the event 'Giọt hồng đất Việt' organized by Tien Phong newspaper in coordination with the Red Cross; Phu Tho Provincial Youth Union and Lynn Times Thanh Thuy for the second time - in 2025 will contribute to resonate and spread more strongly the noble gesture, the emotional stories about sharing, about humanity, about kindness that have been flowing in the veins of every Vietnamese person for thousands of years."

The event was attended by Dr. Nguyen Giang Long - Deputy Director of the Department of Health of Phu Tho province, Mr. Nguyen Van Duc - Vice Chairman of the district, Head of the Voluntary Blood Donation Committee of Thanh Thuy district, Co-Head of the Organizing Committee, Ms. Le Thi Quynh Trang - President of the Red Cross Society of Phu Tho province, believing that "Giot Hong Boi Viet" in the land of the ancestors will "fan the flame of enthusiasm, the spirit of mutual love of the Vietnamese people, bringing hope to patients waiting for drops of red blood".

In the open space filled with nature of the place known as "The Land of Healing", Miss Vietnam 2022 - Miss International 2024 Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy excitedly said that this was the second time she donated blood at the event "Vietnamese Blood Drops".

"Like the first time, I still feel nervous when donating blood," she said, "But at a humanitarian event like Red Sunday, I am willing to overcome myself. I also hope that young people should participate in voluntary blood donation, because a small action can create big changes when hope and life are given."

The “Giọt hồng đất Việt” festival became even more exciting with folk songs by singer Hà Myo. The 2022 Outstanding Young Vietnamese Face regretted not being able to donate blood due to poor health. In addition, she expressed her “admiration and respect for blood donors as well as those who silently performed noble acts, willing to give so that life can stay, performing small actions with great meaning”.

As Co-Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thanh Thuy Hot Spring Joint Stock Company, expressed his pride when Lynn Times Thanh Thuy continues to be a part of the Red Sunday program, and at the same time hoped that "Giọt hồng đất Việt" will become an annual event to spread love, demonstrating responsibility to society and the community.

The event "Vietnamese Blood Donation" attracted a large number of volunteers who were willing to give to bring hope to thousands of patients in need of blood.

Phu Tho is one of the leading localities in the country in the voluntary blood donation movement with many activities, such as: Red Journey - Red Drops of the Ancestral Land; Red Journey - Connecting Vietnamese Blood, Red Drops of White Blouses of the Ancestral Land... At the first "Red Drops of Vietnamese Roots" event - 2024, 455 units of blood were collected.

Journalist Phung Cong Suong kindly asked about the volunteers, praising the noble deeds of blood donors that will sow more seeds of humanity in life and further beautify the tradition of mutual love of the Vietnamese people.

Not only participating to support the voluntary blood donation festival, Miss Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy also donated blood. This is the second time she donated blood at the event "Giọt hồng Việt" (Red Drops of Vietnamese Roots), to spread the message that small actions can create big changes when hope and life are given.

Runner-up Ngoc Thao and beauty Kim Tra My are also willing to give their blood, spread the fire to the community, and share love.
