Causing controversy with a series of statements related to women
Recently, Mr. Vu Minh Chau, owner of a gold brand Bao Tin Minh Chau, frankly shared his views on women, about "smart men do not marry successful women". This businessman's statement immediately caused a lot of controversy on social networks. Currently, Mr. Vu Minh Chau has locked his social networking page after the noise in the past few days.
Mr. Chau's statements about women have also caused controversy in the past. Sharing with the press, he once said: "I think Vietnamese people with yellow skin should have black hair, which is the most beautiful and outstanding. Women with yellow skin but dye their hair yellow, so their hair and face become the same tone, looking dull, scary, and ugly."
He also shared that he has a 12-year-old daughter who is very simple and doesn’t force her to dye her hair, wear makeup, or wear tight, low-rise pants. He even doesn’t want my daughter to cut her hair short. Later, when Mr. Chau’s daughter cut her hair a little shorter, he reminded her.
"As for my wife, I only rate her 70% in meeting my beauty criteria. Sometimes my wife's way of dressing doesn't satisfy me, but recently after many arguments and loud voices, there has been a change in my beauty standards," Mr. Chau revealed.
How does Bao Tin Minh Chau do business?
Bao Tin Minh Chau gold brand has long been famous in Hanoi along with other brands such as Bao Tin Hong Quan, Bao Tin Manh Hai, Bao Tin Thanh Van, Bao Tin Hoang Long.
These stores all originate from the Vang Bao Tin brand founded by businesswoman Luong Thi Diem (born in 1936) in Thuong Tin district, Hanoi. During the resistance war against France, Ms. Diem and her husband, Mr. Vu Van Kham, joined the civilian labor force to transport ammunition, rice and salt to supply the Dien Bien Phu campaign.
After that, she followed her husband to work from Thanh Hoa to Phu Ly, Thuong Tin and finally settled in Van Dien Town, Hanoi City. The jewelry profession came to her by chance.
She once shared that when she was sitting at the market gate, people who had idle gold often asked others to sell it for them. Ms. Diem worked with integrity, so she gradually gained the trust of many people, and some people came to her house to ask her to sell gold for them.
From the initial small gold shop, she established a private enterprise called Vang Bao Tin. Her 6 children also followed their mother's profession, including Mr. Vu Minh Chau.
