The tournament had three rounds, ending on October 29. Lee shot 61 in each of the first two days and achieved a combined score of -22. This was six points better than the previous 36-hole record set by the Ladies European Tour (LET).

In the final round, Lee shot 65, and thus matched the championship score record of -29 on the LET set by Frenchman Gwladys Nocera at the 2008 Goteborg Masters. But compared to Lee, Nocera played one more round.

During the 54 holes of the Aramco Team Series, Lee had birdies in 29 holes and pars in the rest. This performance helped her to win eight points ahead of Spanish runner-up Carlota Ciganda and become the second bogey-free champion in the history of the LET, which was founded in 1978. Before Lee, the Italian golfer Diana Luna, at the 2011 Ladies German Open.

"I didn't expect to be in such good form," Lee said at the ceremony to receive the Aramco Team Series trophy and a prize of $71,000. The prize fund is $500,000.

Lee, 28, has been playing professional golf for nine years and mainly follows the US LPGA Tour. She entered this arena in 2015 and has played 151 tournaments with 19 top 10 finishes but has never won a cup. On October 22, she missed the opportunity to win her first cup at the BMW Ladies Championship in Korea. In this tournament, Lee finished T1 with Lee Minjee, at -16 points after four rounds of the par72 course. Then, Lee lost to Minjee on the extra hole, in the first round.

This week, Lee is ranked 37th in the Rolex Rankings for women's professional golf.
