From the policy of building a school that meets national standards, teaching and learning equipment of Nhu Ba Sy Secondary School (Hoang Hoa) is invested in the direction of standardization and modernization.
Recognizing the importance of building schools that meet national standards, theeducation sector has promptly advised the province to direct localities in the province to pay attention to developing education in general and building schools that meet national standards in particular. On that basis, localities have established Steering Committees for building schools that meet national standards at district and commune levels. Up to now, the steering committees have been maintained with many practical activities such as developing plans and roadmaps for the goal of building schools that meet national standards for each year and each stage; mobilizing resources to invest in building school facilities and classrooms... From this activity, the scale of the school network in localities has been gradually planned to be spacious, school facilities, classrooms, and teaching equipment have been invested in the direction of standardization and modernization, creating the most favorable conditions for teachers and students to teach and learn.
Records at Quang Tam Primary School ( Thanh Hoa City) show that since the 1999-2000 school year, the school has been recognized as meeting the National Standard Level 1. By the 2011-2012 school year, it has reached the National Standard Level 2. However, due to the requirements of educational innovation, the previous standard school criteria are no longer suitable, so in the 2021-2022 school year, the school has started construction and proposed to be recognized as a standard school again. During this school year, the school has received nearly 21 billion VND from the City People's Committee and local authorities to build 24 new classrooms and many important items such as renovating the school yard, playground, practice ground, purchasing new equipment for classrooms, functional rooms... to ensure the new criteria of a National Standard School. In particular, from the policy of building a standard school, 100% of the school's classrooms are equipped with large-screen TVs connected to the internet for teaching and learning, meeting the requirements of educational innovation; the school yard, flower beds, and ornamental plants are always bright - green - clean - beautiful - safe. These important criteria, along with the efforts of the school's staff, teachers, and students in teaching and learning, at the end of 2022, the school was recognized as having achieved level 3 educational quality accreditation and was recognized as a school that has achieved level II national standards. Up to now, the school's criteria for achieving level II national standards have been effectively maintained by the school.
Similarly, from the movement to build schools that meet national standards, the appearance of schools in Hoang Hoa district has increasingly improved. According to the leaders of Hoang Thanh Primary School, during the process of building standard schools, the school has advised the local government to mobilize investment resources to build school facilities and classrooms in the direction of standardization and modernization. Up to now, the system of classrooms, functional rooms, and supporting works have all been built spacious, clean, and beautiful. The school also has a green library in the schoolyard with eye-catching decorations and a library with more than 600 books of all kinds for teachers and students to research, refer to, study, and teach. In addition, the school has also invested in building an IT room, an English room with a large interactive screen system to help students have useful extracurricular hours, contributing to improving the quality of comprehensive education.
According to statistics from the Department of Education and Training of Hoang Hoa district, up to now, the whole district has had 121/121 schools at all 4 levels achieving national standards, reaching 100%. Among them, many schools have achieved level 2 standards such as Hoang Tan, Hoang Tien, Hoang Quy Kindergarten; Hoang Trach, Hoang Ngoc Primary Schools; Hoang Quy Secondary School... This is not only the result of the attention and investment of functional sectors, authorities at all levels and the efforts of staff, teachers and students, but also the result of the consensus and positive response of the people in the work of socializing education.
In fact, the movement to build schools that meet national standards is not only the task of schools and the education sector, but has also been implemented and supported by the entire political system and all classes of people. Many communes, wards and towns in the province have paid attention to expanding campuses, increasing land funds, and mobilizing investment resources for schools in the direction of standardization and modernization, meeting the criteria for schools that meet national standards. According to statistics, by the end of the first quarter of 2025, the whole province had 1,716/1,979 schools that met national standards, reaching a rate of 86.7%. Of which, the rate of preschool schools meeting standards was 87%; primary schools 91.6%; secondary schools 86% and high schools 66.3%. Through assessment, schools that met national standards have been playing a driving role in promoting the implementation of the strategy of fundamental and comprehensive educational innovation. From that meaning, the movement to build schools that meet national standards continues to be identified by the provincial education sector as a key and regular task with the participation of Party committees, authorities and people. This task is also closely linked to the requirements of innovation in teaching and learning methods, innovation in testing and assessment as well as the work of training and standardizing the teaching staff.
