Comments on the draft documents of the 14th Party Congress: Building a position of people's hearts

According to Senior Lieutenant Khuat Viet Anh (A Luoi 2 commune, Hue city), the draft document of the 14th Congress, although mentioning "the people's hearts and minds", has not emphasized this role deeply.

On November 11, in Hanoi , the Vietnam Youth Union held a conference of key officials, collective members of the Union and outstanding youth to contribute ideas to the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress.

Contributing comments to the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress, Senior Lieutenant Khuat Viet Anh (A Luoi 2 commune, Hue city, Beautiful Youth Living Mirror 2025) said that the draft Political Report submitted to the 14th National Party Congress inherits and develops the defense and security thinking of the 13th National Party Congress in a comprehensive, modern, humanistic and integrated direction.

The document clearly shows the viewpoint of protecting the Fatherland in the new era: protecting independence and sovereignty associated with national interests, culture, prestige and position of Vietnam.

The draft also shows progress in the Party's leadership thinking, affirming the determination to build a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, modern armed force capable of protecting the Fatherland in all situations; while still firmly upholding the principle of the Party's absolute, direct, and comprehensive leadership over national defense and security.

From a grassroots perspective, according to Senior Lieutenant Khuat Viet Anh, the draft, although mentioning "people's hearts and minds", has not emphasized this role deeply, nor has it fully mentioned national defense and security education for all people.

Senior Lieutenant Khuat Viet Anh proposed to add to the draft document the need to continue to innovate and improve the quality of national defense and security education, foster a sense of responsibility and vigilance, and consolidate a solid people's position; add a specific roadmap in the goal of building the People's Army and People's Public Security forces by 2030, with a vision to 2045; add content on promoting the emulation movement "Three best: Most disciplined - Most loyal - Closest to the people" in the entire People's Public Security force.

Build a strong reserve force, a strong and widespread militia and self-defense force in all regions, at sea; build a strong force participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level.

At Nghe An bridge, Secretary of the Youth Union of Nghi Loc Medical Center, Member of the Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An province Pham The Duyet, brought the perspective of a Catholic youth.

According to Secretary of the Youth Union of Nghi Loc Medical Center Pham The Duyet, the drafts have affirmed the important development in awareness when determining that "belief and religion are spiritual needs of a part of the people." This is the theoretical basis for setting out specific tasks of building and implementing policies on ethnicity, religion, belief and perfecting the Law on Belief and Religion.

Contributing opinions to the draft documents of the 14th Congress, Mr. Duyet said that it is necessary to focus on investing in training and building a team of specialized cadres in mass mobilization, ethnic and religious work who truly have in-depth knowledge, cultural understanding and sincerity.

In addition, it is necessary to synchronously perfect the institutions and legal policies on belief and religion in the direction of truly ensuring the people's freedom of belief and religion; promoting the good cultural and ethical values ​​of religion. Accelerating administrative procedure reform, thoroughly ending the inadequacies and laxity in state management of religion.

Building a transparent, clear, and constructive legal corridor, creating the most favorable conditions for legitimate and genuine religious organizations to promote resources, proactively participate in contributing to the cause of social security, health care, education, humanitarian charity, and sustainably accompanying the nation."

In his concluding remarks at the conference, Secretary of the Central Youth Union and President of the Vietnam Youth Union Nguyen Tuong Lam highly appreciated the scientific nature, detail and dedication in each suggestion.

The organizing committee has listened to the opinions and will fully synthesize into the database of more than 100,000 comments collected from many different channels. This number is still small compared to 20 million young people nationwide, it is necessary to spread the spirit of the conference to encourage more young people to contribute their voices to the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress.

It can be said that the opinions of the exemplary youth all demonstrate a high sense of responsibility, practical vision and aspiration to contribute to the development of the country. The opinions not only closely follow the content of the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress but also reflect the life, thoughts, aspirations and intelligence of today's young generation./.
