According to ComicBook , Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) may bring something that GTA 5 fans have long been denied, which is single-player expansions (DLC).

GTA 6 is one of the most anticipated games of all time, but it still doesn't have a release date. But many fans are hoping that valuable information will be released in the coming weeks, ahead of Take-Two Interactive's (Rockstar Games' parent company) earnings announcement.

GTA 6 Could Bring Single-Player Expansion

The company previously stated that it was expecting a revenue jump from spring 2024 to early 2025, which could really only happen if GTA 6 releases during that time. Take-Two Interactive has not clarified these speculations, but has stated that it plans to release major titles during that time.

One of the reliable GTA insiders nicknamed Tez2 recently shared on the GTAForums that Rockstar has plans for an expansion for GTA 6. Previously, GTA 5 was also planned for a story expansion, but it was unexpectedly scrapped due to the success of GTA Online .

It is believed that GTA 6 had some content cut at some point during its development to help the developers avoid crunch and get the game released sooner, but that the content that was cut will still be used later. So it is possible that fans will get new locations and cities in GTA 6 through expansions, avoiding the long wait for GTA 7 .
