On Provincial Road 177, through Tan Lap Commune, heavy rain caused rocks and soil on the positive slope to roll onto the road at 4 locations, with thousands of cubic meters of rocks and soil spilling onto the road surface.

Ha Giang has more than 250 high-risk landslide locations.
This is the route connecting National Highway 2 with the western districts of the province, Hoang Su Phi and Xin Man. The huge traffic volume has made it impossible for people and hundreds of vehicles to travel.
In addition, 4 rural traffic routes in the commune also had many landslides and breaks due to floods, isolating many villages and hamlets.

Mr. Tong Van Ngu, Chairman of Tan Lap Commune People's Committee, said: "Immediately after receiving the information, the local government sent forces to the scene to overcome the consequences. For the landslide locations on Provincial Road 177, the local government coordinated with the authorities to mobilize human resources and machinery to level the soil and rocks that had spilled onto the road surface. However, due to the large volume of soil and rocks that had collapsed, the recovery process took a long time. It was not until 12 o'clock on the same day that the road was basically cleared for people and vehicles to pass through."

For landslides on rural roads, the commune government has directed villages to mobilize local forces such as militia and youth unions to overcome them so that people can travel smoothly.
