The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has just announced that, implementing the regulations on high school graduation exams and the official dispatch guiding the organization of the 2023 high school graduation exam of the Ministry of Education and Training, since May 26, candidates exempted from all exams and foreign language exams in the recognition of high school graduation in 2023 have submitted their application for approval to the units registering for the exam and sent it to the Department of Education and Training.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training's High School Graduation Recognition Council has examined and reviewed the candidates' application files for exemption from the exam. As a result, 179 candidates were exempted from the 2023 high school graduation exam for all exams; including 27 candidates who won prizes in the national excellent student exam in cultural subjects and were selected to participate in international and regional Olympic exams, 2 candidates who won prizes in the national excellent student exam in science and technology and were selected to participate in international and regional Olympic exams, 144 candidates with severe disabilities and 6 candidates with extremely severe disabilities.
Regarding the exemption from foreign language exams, the department said that it has reviewed Official Dispatch No. 1515/BGDĐT-QLCL dated April 7 of the Ministry of Education and Training on guidelines for organizing the 2023 high school graduation exam. Hanoi has 16,118 candidates exempted from the foreign language exam in the 2023 high school graduation exam. Of which, 15,580 candidates have English certificates, 113 candidates have French certificates, 37 candidates have German certificates, 288 candidates have Chinese certificates and 100 candidates have Japanese certificates.
According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, candidates exempted from the foreign language exam will be given a score of 10 for this exam to be considered for recognition of high school graduation.
According to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, the 2023 high school graduation exam will take place from June 28 to 29. Hanoi has 102,095 candidates registered for the exam, of which 88,831 candidates will take the exam under the high schooleducation program and 13,264 candidates will take the exam under the continuing education program; the number of independent candidates is 3,654 candidates.
The city has arranged 4,263 examination rooms, 170 waiting rooms, 378 spare examination rooms; 189 examination sites in 30 districts, towns and cities.
