Traveling to Ha Tinh Stadium with the determination to win and stay close to the top of the table, Hanoi FC deployed their strongest lineup under the direction of coach Harry Kewell. However, the away team soon encountered difficulties against Ha Tinh's disciplined play and fiery fighting spirit.

In the first half, Hanoi completely dominated the game. Their attacks were executed smoothly, but the lack of luck from foreign player Passira caused the capital team to miss a series of good opportunities.

The turning point came in the 41st minute, when Le Viktor launched a dangerous shot from outside the penalty area, defeating goalkeeper Van Chuan, opening the score for Ha Tinh.

Right at the beginning of the second half, coach Harry Kewell sent Van Quyet onto the field and just a few dozen seconds later, the Hanoi captain immediately scored the equalizer with an accurate header after a cross from Hoang Hen.

However, the joy of the capital representative did not last long. In the 69th minute, Le Viktor continued to make his mark when his header made the ball bounce off the post, bounce off defender Nguyen Cong Nhat and go straight into the net, sealing a 2-1 victory for Ha Tinh.

This defeat caused Hanoi to miss the opportunity to close in on the top group, while Ha Tinh continued to prove they are a tough opponent at home.
