
Specifically, Hanoi has 6 heritages in the category of Traditional Festivals, 1 heritage in the category of Traditional Crafts and Folk Knowledge, and 1 heritage in the category of Folk Knowledge.
The 9 cultural heritages listed this time include: Tong Goi Tau Cheo Singing Festival (Tan Hoi Commune, Dan Phuong District - now O Dien Commune); La Phu Village Festival (La Phu Commune, Hoai Duc District - now An Khanh Commune); Dong But Pagoda Festival (Ngoc Liep Commune, Quoc Oai District - now Kieu Phu Commune); Nanh Pagoda Festival (Ninh Hiep Commune, Gia Lam District - Phu Dong Commune); Sai Temple Festival (Thuy Lam Commune, Dong Anh District - now Thu Lam Commune); Vong Communal House Festival (Ha Dinh Ward, Thanh Xuan District - now Khuong Dinh Ward); Thanh Tri Rice Roll Making Craft (Vinh Hung Ward); Knowledge of Processing and Enjoying La Vong Fish Cake (Hanoi); Knowledge of Cooking Bat Trang Feasts (Bat Trang Commune).
Speaking at the conference, Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, comrade Bach Lien Huong, highly appreciated the sentiment, enthusiasm, cultivation, and cooperation of the local authorities and people in caring for and promoting the intangible cultural values of various types of festivals and traditional crafts in the cultural treasure of the capital Hanoi.
The leaders of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports expressed their hope that the spirit of the delegates contributing their opinions at the conference would continue to spread to the masses through the ceremonies to receive and honor intangible cultural heritages in the locality; so that everyone could feel the spirit, knowledge, meaning and value of the 9 heritages listed in the list of National Intangible Cultural Heritages.
Ms. Bach Lien Huong also noted that the organization of receiving the certificate of National Intangible Cultural Heritage should be organized solemnly, economically, in accordance with regulations and at a suitable time so that the majority of the community can participate.
“The registration is not only a good sign for the heritage, but also opens up opportunities to promote local culture and tourism , helping the heritage to be closer to the public. However, this also poses new requirements for the task of managing, protecting and promoting the value of the heritage; ensuring that intangible cultural heritage is practiced to guide people and communities towards good cultural values, preserve identity, and move towards comprehensive social development,” Ms. Bach Lien Huong expressed.

Expressing his joy when the Nanh Pagoda Festival (Phu Dong Commune) was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage, Vice Chairman of Phu Dong Commune People's Committee Nguyen Dinh Quang shared: The Nanh Pagoda Festival being recognized and listed as a national intangible cultural heritage is the joy of the entire community of the old Ninh Hiep Commune and the new Phu Dong Commune.
The Nanh Pagoda Festival is practiced by the ancient Nanh Village community, held from the 4th to the 6th of the second lunar month every year. The festival's main feature is the series of traditional rituals that are solemnly organized and rich in symbolism such as the procession of the sound; the procession of Buddha and Saints; the offering ceremony, the offering of incense and flowers... especially the ceremony of raising the flagpole, erecting the flagpole, and the circumambulation around the flagpole.
“We promise to continue to manage, guide the community to practice and promote the value of the recognized heritage better; build programs and plans to protect and promote the value of the intangible cultural heritage of the Nanh Pagoda Festival. In particular, the commune will promote the propaganda, promotion and introduction of the heritage; research, collect and document the heritage in a systematic, modern and creative way; strengthen the teaching and education of the heritage in the community, restore the components to maintain the vitality of the heritage; develop festivals associated with cultural - spiritual tourism and creative industries”, said Mr. Nguyen Dinh Quang.
With nine more national intangible heritages, Hanoi is affirming that it is a locality possessing many valuable heritages, while also promoting its responsibility in preserving and protecting the nation's heritage.
