Of the six projects launched on this occasion, two have been completed and put into operation, and four have officially commenced construction.

Two projects were inaugurated: the Ethnic Hotel construction project with a total investment of 1,096 billion VND and the information technology infrastructure investment project to build a new data center for Vietnam Post Corporation, with an investment of over 135 billion VND.

Four projects were launched, including the Red River Scenic Boulevard Construction Project, with a total investment of VND 338,000 billion for road infrastructure; the Olympic Sports Urban Area Construction Project, with a total investment of VND 350,000 billion for cultural and sports facilities; the Urban Railway Line 5 Construction Project (Van Cao - Ngoc Khanh - Lang - Hoa Lac section), with a total investment of VND 73,680 billion; and the Housing Construction Project for the People's Public Security Armed Forces, with a total investment of VND 3,799 billion.

Among the projects launched, the Red River Scenic Boulevard and the Olympic Sports Urban Area are the two largest in terms of capital investment. These projects are also expected to create new development spaces for Hanoi, while strengthening infrastructure connectivity and contributing to reducing traffic congestion.

For the Red River Landscape Transport Axis Project, the research and implementation scope extends along the Red River for a length of approximately 80 km, from Hong Ha Bridge to Me So Bridge, passing through the administrative boundaries of 19 communes and wards in the city.

The project aims to invest in a road network along both sides of the Red River, following a boulevard model, with a scale appropriate to projected traffic demand, while also seamlessly connecting with river crossings, riverside areas, and the inland waterway system. Upon completion, the project is expected to create new impetus for the development of urban and transportation infrastructure in the capital city.

The Red River scenic transport axis project is implemented under the BT (Build-Transfer) model, in which the land fund used to compensate the investor is identified in urban redevelopment areas within the project's scope.

Meanwhile, the Olympic Sports Urban Area Project is considered one of the largest-scale planning projects in Hanoi. According to the research orientation, the project will be planned on an area of approximately 16,000 hectares, with an implementation scope of about 10,000 hectares, located in the former Thanh Tri and Thuong Tin districts.

According to the preliminary research report, the Olympic Sports Urban Area is divided into four functional zones, with the highlight being the TOD (Transit-Oriented Development) model, directly connected to the international standard sports complex. The project is located in 12 communes and wards including Thanh Liet, Dai Thanh, Ngoc Hoi, Nam Phu, Thuong Tin, Hong Van, Chuong Duong, Thuong Phuc, Binh Minh, Tam Hung, Thanh Oai and Dan Hoa. The project boundary extends from Phan Trong Tue Street to Ring Road 4, bordering existing residential areas and urban zone C4.

Previously, at its meeting last weekend, the Hanoi People's Council approved the overall plan for both the Red River scenic transport axis project and the Olympic sports urban area project. According to the resolution, the total investment for the Red River scenic transport axis project is over 855,000 billion VND, while the Olympic sports urban area project has a total investment of approximately 925,651 billion VND.
