At the end of the tournament, the first place for the whole delegation was Hanoi city with 8 Gold Medals, 5 Silver Medals, 2 Bronze Medals; second place was Ho Chi Minh City with 8 Gold Medals, 2 Silver Medals, 2 Bronze Medals; third place was Da Nang city with 5 Gold Medals; 6 Silver Medals; 5 Bronze Medals.
Competing at the tournament, many athletes achieved excellent results and broke national records such as: athlete Ta Ngoc Tuong (Phu Tho) broke the national record for men's 400m with a time of 45.59 seconds; Luong Thi Khan (Lang Son) broke the national youth record (U18) for 5,000m with a time of 17 minutes 01 seconds 16; Vu Ngoc Khanh ( Hung Yen ) broke the national youth record (U20) for 400m with a time of 46.14 seconds...
The 2025 National Athletics Championship is organized by the Vietnam Athletics Federation in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang city.
The tournament attracted nearly 700 athletes and coaches from 30 new administrative units after the arrangement, along with the two branches of the Army and the Police.
According to Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City Nguyen Trong Thao, the tournament is an opportunity to comprehensively evaluate the training and education of athletes, preparing forces for the 10th National Sports Congress, scheduled to take place in 2026. This is also an opportunity to select outstanding athletes for the national team, aiming for important international tournaments, especially the 33rd SEA Games taking place in December 2025 in Thailand.
