Hanoi: Warriors "race" against the storm, through the rainy night to save people ( Video : Thuong Huyen - Minh Nhat).
On the evening of July 22, Hanoi began to rain heavily, the wind gradually grew stronger as storm number 3 (Wipha) advanced.

Despite the rain and wind, on the streets of the capital, the ambulances of the 115 force still rush to roll as usual, so that more lives can be saved.
Near midnight, the heat at the 115 Emergency Coordination Center was still clearly felt as the phone rang continuously.

This department is considered the "conductor" of the 115 Emergency Center. It receives, processes information and dispatches ambulances from 8 satellite emergency stations spread throughout Hanoi, carrying out the task of preserving the lives and health of patients and accident victims before they can reach medical facilities.
00:04, a passerby called to report an accident in D Anh, the victim was still lying on the road. Upon receiving the information, an ambulance from D Anh General Hospital was immediately dispatched by the Coordination Center.
Just 10 minutes later there was another emergency.
“Emergency, my father complained of fatigue and then fainted!”, the panicked voice of the grandfather rang out on the other end of the line. While reassuring the family, nurse Cao Thi Thuy Hai quickly recorded the patient’s important information in the coordination book.

Just 3 minutes later, on the surveillance map, the car at the central station location 11 Phan Chu Trinh "lit up" and moved. A rescue journey began.
From Phan Chu Trinh street, the car sped through Lo Duc to Vo Thi Sau. While steering, driver Truong kept an eye on the “dangerous” tree branches when strong gusts of wind began to blow.

With 20 years of driving a 115 ambulance and having experienced the terrifying Typhoon Yagi, the experienced driver said that caution is never too much.
“Last year, I was on duty the day Typhoon Yagi made landfall. The feeling of driving through the streets littered with fallen trees is still vivid to this day,” Mr. Truong shared.

After 10 minutes of driving, the car stopped in front of the gate of a residential area in lane 88 Vo Thi Sau. BSCKI Hoang Van Hai and his colleagues quickly approached the elderly man lying unconscious in the apartment on the 2nd floor.

After quickly assessing the situation at the scene, Dr. Hai and the female nurse of the emergency team checked the patient's vital signs: listening to the heart, measuring blood pressure, measuring blood sugar. At the same time, information about the patient's medical history and progress was also extracted from the patient's family.

After being loaded into the ambulance, the patient was given oxygen support. The two “white blouses” continued to closely monitor the old man’s condition while the white car headed straight to Friendship Hospital.
Returning to the center after the trip, Mr. Truong took the opportunity to call home to remind his children to check the door again, as the impact of the storm became more and more obvious.

Regardless of storms or normal days, there are always 15 ambulances of Hanoi 115 force ready to go on the road 24/7 to rescue people when mobilized.
According to Dr. Tran Anh Thang - Deputy Director of Hanoi 115 Emergency Center, to be ready for emergency care for victims affected by rain and storms, this unit has increased supplies, medicine, and equipment ready to add more.

The entire unit will also have 50 officers and employees on duty each shift to carry out the task. "Regardless of storms and rain, the Hanoi 115 Emergency Center will still be on duty to carry out the task as usual. We always receive information quickly, dispatch accurately, handle calmly and must be fast, very fast," Dr. Thang shared.
The shift of these white blouses will end at 8am on July 22, close to the time when Typhoon Wipha makes landfall. Immediately after, their colleagues will continue this important task.
Here, meals are always "taken care of", a nap is sometimes just a 5-minute nap so that ambulances can continuously roll regardless of the time, not afraid of natural disasters.
