On October 14, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training held an information conference on the first Hanoi high school student musical talent festival, school year 2025-2026.

Following the success of the High School Choir Festival (2023-2024 school year), the festival of high school student bands and musical groups (2023 and 2024), the program "March of Capital Students" in 2024, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will organize the first Hanoi high school student musical talent festival, school year 2025-2026.
Mr. Tran The Cuong - Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training said: In recent years, the capital's education and training sector has always paid attention to educating "Morality - Intelligence - Fitness - Beauty", developing artistic talents for students. Artistic, cultural and sports activities have become an important part of schools and educational institutions, contributing to nurturing the soul, discovering and nurturing talents for students.
This year, the musical talent festival is organized to realize the comprehensive education goal according to the 2018 General Education Program; contribute to fostering aesthetic ability, discovering musical talents in schools, practicing artistic expression skills; nurturing pure souls, contributing to forming a generation of elegant and civilized students in the capital and building a "Happy School".


The festival is also an opportunity to preserve and promote the value of traditional national music, while selecting and absorbing the quintessence of modern music suitable for the age group; creating a healthy playground, gathering and spreading talented faces and groups in schools; thereby, promoting the image of a dynamic Hanoi rich in cultural traditions.
“The festival is not only an artistic event, but also a vivid expression of the spirit of educational innovation, developing students' qualities and abilities in the spirit of the 2018 General Education Program, aiming at the goal of each student becoming familiar with and proficiently using at least one musical instrument suitable to their interests and age, contributing to spreading the art movement in schools,” Mr. Tran The Cuong emphasized.
At the conference, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training informed about the festival's planned schedule, such as: contestants, number of entries, competition tables, competition rounds, and time of each round.
Accordingly, the organization time at the school level will be completed before November 15, 2025. The ward and commune levels; high school clusters; vocational education and continuing education center clusters will be completed before November 30, 2025. The city level is expected to be organized before December 20, 2025. The public performance is expected before February 3, 2026.


Within the framework of the conference, representatives of schools, wards - communes, and artists gave specific comments and discussions related to the organization work, aiming for the success of the festival. According to Ms. Cao Thanh Nga - Principal of Phan Huy Chu High School - Dong Da, the festival will contribute to the comprehensive education of high school students, contributing to the balance between studying and pursuing their passion for music.
This is also the view of Ms. Hoang Thi Man, Principal of Newton Secondary and High School. Ms. Man believes that after two seasons of implementing choir festivals and student band festivals, this instrument festival will be enthusiastically received by students. They have a lot of potential and will have the opportunity to shine in the art playground reserved for them.
Mr. Doan Tien Trung - Head of the Department of Culture and Society of Yen Hoa Ward supports the policy of organizing a playground to create an exciting and innovative atmosphere in educational institutions to help improve the comprehensive education of students. This is also an opportunity for schools to review teaching and music teachers to prepare for participating in this festival.
From a professional perspective, musician Vu Quoc Binh highly appreciated the Hanoi Department of Education and Training's attention to cultural and artistic movements in schools. Through the competition, students are not only nurtured in their love of music, balancing between studying culture, entertainment, but this is also an environment for art and music educational institutions to find good talents.
