Hai Duong will experience a cold spell starting this afternoon, with the lowest temperatures generally ranging from 16 to 18 degrees Celsius (illustrative image).

According to the Hai Duong Provincial Meteorological and Hydrological Station, a cold front is moving south and will affect the province from the evening of April 12th.

Due to the influence of a cold front, Hai Duong province will experience scattered rain and showers, with thunderstorms in some areas, followed by light rain in a few places. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind. The weather will turn cold, with chilly nights and mornings. The lowest temperatures will generally range from 16 to 18 degrees Celsius.

According to the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, due to the impact of a cold front, from the night of April 12th, the weather in the Northern and North Central regions will turn cold, with some mountainous areas experiencing freezing temperatures.

On the nights of April 13-14, the weather will be very cold, with the lowest temperatures in Northern Vietnam ranging from 16-19 degrees Celsius, and in some high mountainous areas below 13 degrees Celsius. North Central Vietnam will experience temperatures between 17-20 degrees Celsius.

Due to the influence of a cold front, the weather on April 12th, both day and night, in the Northwest region and the provinces from Thanh Hoa to Quang Binh will experience moderate to heavy rain, with some areas experiencing very heavy rain. Rainfall amounts will generally range from 30-60 mm, with some areas exceeding 90 mm. In the area from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai , scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected in the evening and night, with localized heavy rain ranging from 15-30 mm, and some areas exceeding 60 mm.

Dangerous weather conditions may occur, accompanied by thunderstorms such as tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind. Heavy rainfall in a short period (over 80 mm/6 hours) poses a risk of flooding in low-lying areas, flash floods on small rivers and streams, and landslides in hilly and mountainous areas.

The Northwest region will be cloudy with rain, showers, and scattered thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain in some areas. The far Northwest will experience moderate to heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms, with very heavy rain in some localized areas. Light winds. Minimum temperatures will range from 16-19°C, with some areas below 15°C. Maximum temperatures will range from 29-32°C, with some areas in the far Northwest exceeding 33°C.

The northeastern provinces of Vietnam will be cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Southeasterly winds will be at level 2-3, shifting to northeasterly at level 3 in the afternoon, and level 4-5 along the coast, with gusts exceeding level 6 in some areas. Minimum temperatures will range from 18-21°C, with some mountainous areas below 16°C. Maximum temperatures will range from 25-28°C, with some areas exceeding 28°C.

The provinces from Thanh Hoa to Hue will be cloudy with sunny days, especially in the western mountainous areas where it will be hot; in the evening and at night, there will be rain, showers and scattered thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain in some areas. The area from Thanh Hoa to Quang Binh will experience moderate to heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms, with locally very heavy rain in some places. Light winds. The lowest temperature will be 19-22°C. The highest temperature will be 32-35°C, with the western mountainous areas reaching 35-37°C, and some places exceeding 37°C.

The area from Da Nang to Binh Thuan will be cloudy with sunny days, especially in the north where it will be hot; scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected in the evening and at night; the northern part will experience rain, showers and scattered thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain. East to southeast winds at level 2-3. The lowest temperature will be 23-26°C. The highest temperature will be 31-34°C, and 35-37°C in the north.

The Central Highlands provinces will be cloudy with sunny days; scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected in the late afternoon and evening. Light winds. Minimum temperatures will range from 20-23°C. Maximum temperatures will range from 30-33°C, with some areas exceeding 33°C.

Southern Vietnam will be cloudy with sunny days, some areas experiencing hot weather; scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected in the late afternoon and evening. Light winds. Minimum temperatures will range from 24 to 27 degrees Celsius. Maximum temperatures will range from 31 to 34 degrees Celsius, with some areas exceeding 35 degrees Celsius.
