Two Vietnamese AI factories in the Top 500 most powerful supercomputers in the world

Top 500 is a prestigious global ranking of high-performance supercomputers (HPC) based on the Linpack metric - a standard that evaluates a system's ability to perform complex arithmetic calculations per second (Flops).

In the Top 500 ranking announced in June 2025, FPT Corporation's two AI factories located in Japan and Vietnam ranked 36th and 38th, respectively. This achievement puts FPT's AI Factory in the group of the world's leading supercomputer infrastructure, and at the same time establishes FPT as the No. 1 commercial AI Cloud service provider in Japan with the NVIDIA H200 Tensor Core GPU SXM5 super chip.

Specifically, the AI factory in Japan has 146,304 processing cores, with a performance of 49.85 PFlops (Linpack standard). The AI factory in Vietnam has 142,240 processing cores, with a performance of 46.65 PFlops.

Both factories use InfiniBand NDR400 networks, supporting flexible scaling from a single GPU to clusters of hundreds of parallel processing servers in each region, ensuring high performance and low latency when deploying large-scale AI and HPC tasks.

Launched in November 2024, FPT's AI Factory has been selected by leading technology companies such as LandingAI to develop advanced AI solutions, contributing to creating practical value for society.

FPT aims to develop 3 more AI factories globally in the next 5 years, contributing to making Vietnam the leading country in the region in AI computing infrastructure.

Vietnam in the top 15 AI countries

The Top 500 ranking was established in 1993 by three prominent researchers in the HPC field and is published twice a year. The Top 500 is viewed by governments, scientific organizations and businesses around the world as a benchmark for hardware capabilities, system design, operational optimization and the ability to handle large-scale complex AI and scientific tasks.

Being in the Top 500 for the 65th time not only affirms the computing power and technical capacity of AI Factory FPT, but also shows the quality of its services meeting international standards, ready to meet the research, development and deployment needs of AI solutions of organizations, businesses and individuals worldwide.

This is also a milestone that brings Vietnam into the group of 15 leading AI countries in the world for the first time, along with powers such as the US, China, Japan, Germany and France - a testament to FPT's efforts in enhancing the country's technological position.
