Two female cleaners recounted the moment they were shot by a group of young men.

Regarding the case of Ms. Le Thi Minh Khai (38 years old) and Ms. Vo Thi Luu (42 years old, both employees of Quang Ngai Urban Environment Joint Stock Company) being shot by a group of young men, currently, the two victims are being treated at Phuc Hung General Hospital.

According to Ms. Le Thi Minh Khai, at around 0:10 on October 5, while sweeping trash on Pham Van Dong Street, near the Provincial Square, she encountered two young men riding a motorbike at high speed. "When the two young men's motorbike moved close to the garbage truck parked on the side of the road, I signaled them to slow down. Immediately, both of them cursed and sped away," Ms. Khai recalled.

About an hour later, Ms. Khai and Ms. Luu were sweeping trash on Pham Van Dong Street, near the temporary market area (Quang Ngai City) when they were assaulted by two young men. Referring to this, Ms. Luu continued: "Seeing Khai being beaten, I ran to stop him but was shot in the leg by a young man with a weapon. They didn't stop there, they continued to come back and beat and shoot Khai in the leg."

Only when local people discovered the incident and shouted did the group of young men leave. Immediately afterwards, the two victims were taken to Phuc Hung General Hospital for emergency treatment. X-ray results showed that both had bullets in their thighs and calves.
