Navy helps people prevent storm Wipha in Quang Ninh

In response to the impact of storm No. 3 (Wipha) about to make landfall in the northern provinces, on the evening of July 21, Brigade 170, Naval Region 1 sent 45 officers and soldiers to Ha Tu ward, Quang Ninh province to help people prevent and fight the storm at the fishing port area where fishermen's boats are anchored.

As soon as they arrived at Ha Tu sea area , officers and soldiers of the Brigade quickly helped 30 households tie down their houses, placed 450 sandbags on roofs to prevent storms, cut branches from 20 trees, harvested fish, and tied ropes to secure boats for 30 fishermen.

The Brigade presented 100 national flags, 100 life jackets and many necessities to disadvantaged fishing households and policy families in the fishing port area.

Not only directly assisting people, the Brigade also helped evacuate 4 households to avoid and take shelter from the storm at the unit's guest house to ensure safety.

From tonight (July 21), Brigade 170 will proactively coordinate with local authorities to organize many synchronous solutions to help fishermen and local people proactively prevent and avoid storms, ensuring safety of life and property.
