Previously, to rescue people in flooded areas, two helicopters, including Mi-171 and Mi-8, were ordered to be on standby at the airport in Da Nang.
The Logistics and Engineering Department of Military Region 5 also coordinated with Air Division 372 to prepare 4 tons of goods to bring into the isolated area.
However, the flight schedule changed so Military Region 5 adjusted the plan, using a team of vehicles to pick up goods and move by road to deliver to people in flooded areas of Gia Lai, Dak Lak , and Khanh Hoa.
According to the Logistics and Technical Department of Military Region 5, in the past two days, this unit has organized the transportation and distribution of 11 tons of dry food to localities.
The Military Commands of Gia Lai, Dak Lak, and Khanh Hoa provinces receive an average of 3-4 tons of goods per day to distribute to people in deeply flooded areas.
Military Region 5 also maintains reserve goods in field warehouses, ready to mobilize when required.
Speaking with Tuoi Tre on the afternoon of November 21, the 372nd Air Defense Division said it was continuing to wait for orders from superiors.
