Aviation enters peak anti-smuggling season

(NLDO)- The head must be responsible for the work of preventing and combating smuggling and counterfeit goods in civil aviation activities of his unit.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has just sent a document to relevant units on implementing a peak plan to combat smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2025.

Accordingly, the Civil Aviation Authority requires agencies and units to thoroughly inform all officers and employees of their agencies, especially those participating in the air transport chain, to strictly implement the regulations on anti-smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2025 of the Government, the Ministry of Transport and the Authority.

Units need to strengthen regular inspection and control at aviation check-in points to promptly detect and coordinate in strictly handling smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods.

Proactively preside over or coordinate with relevant authorities to widely disseminate the above directives in many forms, so that everyone clearly understands and resolutely coordinates in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in their units.

Units need to actively apply information technology and social networks in appropriate forms in propaganda work; publicize email boxes and hotline numbers so that people of all walks of life can know, exchange, share, receive and promptly handle reports via hotlines.

In addition, units need to closely coordinate with the National Steering Committee 389 and relevant authorities when requested. At the same time, strictly handle or coordinate to handle according to the provisions of law for agencies, organizations and individuals that violate smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2025.

Heads of agencies and enterprises must be responsible for the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods in civil aviation activities of their units.
