A series of professor and associate professor candidates were eliminated from the 2025 list.

(Dan Tri) - 97 candidates were eliminated from the list of candidates proposed for recognition of the title of professor and associate professor in 2025.

The State Council of Professors has just announced the list of candidates proposed by the Council of Professors of all disciplines and interdisciplinary disciplines to be considered for recognition as meeting the standards for the title of professor and associate professor in 2025.

This list does not include candidates for the two majors Military Science and Security Science.

Accordingly, this list has 836 candidates remaining, approved by the Industry and Interdisciplinary Professor Councils in 2025. Compared to the original list of 933 candidates, 97 people were eliminated from the list of professors and associate professors this year.

The majors with the most unsuccessful candidates include Economics with 17 candidates; Information Technology, Electrical - Electronics - Automation, Earth Science - Mining, each council has 10 candidates; Mathematics with 9 candidates; Medicine with 7 candidates...

According to the plan, the State Council of Professors will meet and consider recognition of meeting the standards for the title of professor and associate professor in 2025 between October 20 and October 31.

Some general standards for the titles of professor and associate professor in 2025:

- Not violating teaching ethics, not being disciplined from reprimand or above or serving a criminal sentence; honest and objective in training, scientific research and other professional activities.

- Meet the time requirements for training tasks from university level and above like lecturers who have had more than 10 consecutive years of training tasks from university level and above; complete assigned tasks and perform enough standard teaching hours according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training...

- Proficient in at least one foreign language for professional work and able to communicate in English.

- Have enough minimum converted scientific work points according to regulations.
