Nung Tri Cao Ward gives gifts to families affected by natural disasters - Cao Bang Electronic Newspaper

On October 11, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nung Tri Cao ward established 5 working delegations to visit and give gifts to families affected by storm No. 11 in the area.

The delegations visited, encouraged and presented gifts to 35 policy households, poor households, near-poor households, and households in difficult circumstances. These are households that have been severely affected by rising flood waters in recent days, with many properties and household items damaged, making life difficult.

At the families visited, the working delegation inquired about the health situation, shared the hardships and losses of the people in the recent floods; at the same time, praised the proactive and responsible spirit of the people in cleaning up and restoring their lives after the floods. Affirmed that the Party Committee and the government of Nung Tri Cao ward always care about and accompany the people in the process of overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, leaving no one behind.

Currently, Nung Tri Cao ward has been mobilizing forces to support people in cleaning the environment, disinfecting, preventing epidemics, and at the same time, checking and counting difficult households to have specific and practical forms of support to help people return to normal life soon after the flood.

Due to the impact of storm No. 11, in Nung Tri Cao ward, 426 houses were flooded; 20 households had their houses affected by landslides, estimated damage to houses of households affected by landslides was about 2 billion 480 million VND. Damaged rice area was 280 hectares; annual crops were damaged 70 hectares; vegetables and flowers were damaged 20 hectares; perennial crops were about 10 hectares. Many infrastructures were damaged by landslides and flooding.
