Approval of over 8.98 trillion VND for compensation and resettlement for the high-speed railway project.

The People's Committee of Da Nang City has just issued a decision approving component project 1: compensation, support and resettlement for the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis in the area from the Thu Bon River northward to the end of the Da Nang city boundary.

Accordingly, the project has a total investment of nearly 8,980 billion VND from the central government budget, the city budget, and other legal sources of capital. The project is managed by the Da Nang Investment and Construction Project Management Board for Transportation and Agriculture Projects. The project implementation period is from 2025 to 2028.

The project is located in the following communes and wards: Hai Van, Lien Chieu, Hoa Khanh, Ba Na, Cam Le, Hoa Vang, Hoa Tien, Dien Ban Bac, and Dien Ban Tay.

The project aims to provide compensation, support, and resettlement for organizations and individuals affected by the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis, from the Thu Bon River northward to the boundary of Da Nang city.

This includes: carrying out compensation and land clearance work, relocating affected infrastructure within the project area. Simultaneously, constructing resettlement areas and cemeteries to serve the resettlement needs of the people, ensuring the legal rights and interests of those whose land is expropriated according to the law, stabilizing their lives and livelihoods, and ensuring social security for the affected people.
