Thousands of railway initiatives, generating profits of over 150 billion VND

Vietnam Railways Corporation has just summarized 10 years of implementing the movement "Regular - Culture - Safety".

The Chairman of the Board of Members of Vietnam Railway Corporation awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises to collectives with outstanding achievements in the "Regular - Culture - Safety" movement.

Over the past 10 years, the total revenue of the railway transport sector alone reached more than 43.5 trillion VND. The average growth rate from year to year is 101.97%. Of which, revenue from goods reached 17.8 trillion VND, an average growth of 103.67%/year. Passenger revenue reached nearly 25 trillion VND, an average growth of 109.45%/year.

In the field of railway infrastructure management, although the economic capital is balanced and increased annually, it only meets 75.6% of the minimum needs of infrastructure maintenance tasks. However, with positive solutions, it has contributed to the effective use of capital, gradually improving and enhancing the quality of infrastructure, limiting degradation, ensuring the efficiency of signal information equipment exploitation reaches over 99%. Ensuring the progress of construction and repair on the route, contributing to safe train operation, improving the quality of on-time train indicators.

Along with the effective implementation of the work on implementing the grassroots democracy regulations, restructuring enterprises, building and improving the quality of human resources, Vietnam Railways Corporation has promoted science and technology activities. Over the past 10 years, the whole industry has recognized and applied 5,414 technical innovation initiatives, 20 topics at the State and Ministry of Transport level, 175 topics at the corporation level with a total value of nearly 150 billion VND, creating many products with high technical content and applicability, ensuring train safety, improving production and business efficiency.
