Goals from Achraf Hakimi and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia secured three points for PSG away at Seattle Sounders, earning them a place in the knockout round of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ as group B winners.
After the match ended, the PSG players showed their respect and gratitude by cleaning up their dressing room at Lumen Field in Seattle. The UEFA Champions League winners not only left a tidy space but also thanked the home team Seattle with a simple note: “Merci Seattle” (Thank you Seattle).

This move demonstrates sportsmanship and appreciation for what the American home team has provided during PSG's time here.
However, in his post-match speech, PSG coach Luis Enrique did not hesitate to criticize the quality of the pitch at Lumen Field. He said: “The ball bounces like a rabbit on this pitch. We won, but that doesn't change the fact: the pitch is not up to standard for hosting a top-level tournament.”
The former Barcelona coach believes the conversion of the artificial turf to natural grass was not handled well. "This used to be an artificial turf pitch, now it's been converted to natural grass, so they have to water it manually. They do it during halftime, but it dries out completely after only 10 minutes. You can't play at the desired level on a pitch like that," he added.
Having finished first in Group B of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™, PSG will face the second-placed team in Group A (currently Inter Miami) in the knockout round.
