The first train carrying Army soldiers entered Hanoi station.

The Propaganda Department (General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army) said that today, 1,663 officers and soldiers from the Department of Motorcycles - Transport, Military Regions 5, 7, 9 and Army Corps 34 traveled by train to Hanoi.

The earliest to arrive in Hanoi were 524 officers and soldiers departing from Tam Ky station (Quang Nam). From now until the afternoon, 1,139 officers and soldiers will arrive from Ho Chi Minh City.

Hundreds of soldiers in uniform "greened" Hanoi Railway Station. Early in the morning, many veterans, citizens, and volunteer students holding flags and flowers stood in a line from the platform to the lobby to welcome the officers and soldiers getting off the train.

Among them, many soldiers set foot in the capital for the first time. They brought with them pride, the will to train and the determination to excellently complete the mission entrusted to them by the country. The weather in the capital was hot and sunny, the soldiers' faces were covered in sweat but they always had bright smiles.

Agencies and units have closely coordinated in operating, coordinating the reception and transportation of forces performing parade and marching duties to ensure speed, neatness, security and order.

Major General Nguyen Que Lam, Director of the Department of Motorcycles and Transport (General Department of Logistics and Engineering), said that the officers and soldiers of the Department are very honored to participate in major events of the country, including preparations for the parade and march to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.

"To prepare for the forces to march to the North, we planned very early, coordinated with Vietnam Railways Corporation to prepare 3 best trains for transportation. The first train arrived at Hanoi station at 11:05, the second train arrived at 12:30, and the third train arrived at 15:30 today.

Regarding road transport, the Department has mobilized 114 vehicles of various types, divided into 4 groups. All drivers and vehicles used to transport people and materials from the station to the units are carefully prepared" - Major General Nguyen Que Lam said.

Captain Nguyen Phuc Binh (Military Region 5) of the Cyberspace Operations Division was one of the first soldiers to arrive at Hanoi Station. His face was covered in sweat, and he was carrying a heavy backpack of military equipment, including a fan.

"Last year, I came here to carry out the mission of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army. This year is the second time I have come to the capital, the feeling is also different. We departed from Tam Ky station yesterday afternoon, when we arrived in Hanoi we were very surprised and happy because there were so many people waiting for us. The weather here is also sunny and hot, not much different from the Central region" - Captain Binh shared.

In the green volunteer uniform, female student Do Thanh Uyen (Hanoi Open University) and many other students arrived early. Not only welcoming the soldiers in general, Uyen also waited for a special friend, soldier Nguyen Tan Luc (Dak Lak). After only shaking hands and asking his friend a few questions, Uyen had to quickly say goodbye so Luc could return to his unit.

Before that, through the family's introduction, Uyen and Luc met each other on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification day.

"We've only talked to each other through text messages and phone calls. Today is the first time we met, I also took a photo and gave her some words of encouragement" - Uyen shared. Although we are far away, she always cherishes this relationship.

Participating in the National Day parade on September 2nd is a particularly important political task. This is both an honor and pride, as well as a sacred responsibility of every soldier on the great national holiday.

The General Staff has directed the Military Training Department - School to draft a directive to organize and train the Army and militia forces to participate in the parade and march during the celebration (A80) on the basis of maintaining the forces and groups that participated in the parade and march to celebrate the 50th anniversary of National Reunification Day; building A80 groups including 11 standing groups and 27 walking groups.

After arriving at Hanoi station, the forces moved to the designated assembly location to be arranged for food, accommodation, and living conditions, ready to prepare for training and performing tasks.

The parade groups arrived at Hanoi station at 12:30.

Group No. 3 arrived at Hanoi Station at 3:30 p.m., including Senior Lieutenant Le Hoang Hiep, born in 1996, currently working at Division 9, Corps 4, one of the prominent faces participating in the parade celebrating the 50th anniversary of national reunification.

Since becoming famous, images of soldier Le Hoang Hiep have been continuously shared. More notably, many young people and people flocked to Saigon Station to see him off and to Hanoi Station to welcome him, ask for his autograph and take photos with Senior Lieutenant Le Hoang Hiep.
