The event was organized by the French Institute in Hue in coordination with the French Development Agency (AFD), on the occasion of the 45th General Assembly of the International Association of Francophone Mayors (AIMF 45) taking place in Hue City.
The exhibition introduces to the public 26 photos taken by the AFD team during their journey downriver from North to South, revisiting the works and projects that the organization has accompanied in Vietnam, including projects completed 20 years ago. Each photo not only tells the story of a specific project but also demonstrates the sustainable cooperation, mutual trust and positive influence that AFD and its partners have created and are creating.
There are also five works from the International Association of Francophone Mayors reflecting the increasingly proactive and dynamic participation of Vietnamese cities in the Francophone space.
After 30 years of presence and close cooperation in Vietnam, AFD has made a practical contribution to the country's sustainable development process through nearly 150 large and small projects, supported in 60 provinces and cities of Vietnam, spanning many fields such as infrastructure, education , energy, urban, environment and climate change adaptation. The exhibition is not only of artistic significance but also a bridge for cultural exchange, affirming the increasingly important role of Vietnam in the Francophone community, as well as emphasizing France's long-term commitment to supporting sustainable development in Vietnam.
The exhibition runs until May 23.
